Louisiana State Archives

The Louisiana State Archives' Main Research Library contains books on general histories, census indexes, immigration schedules, church records, and family histories are available in the library. Also located in the research library, is a computerized database of more than two million names. The system provides census information, pedigree charts, international ancestral data, marriage information, a nationwide telephone index, and information based on Social Security filings.
