The Missouri State Archives provides an excellent library of Military records of Missourians from the War of 1812 through World War I, including more than 9 million pages related to the Civil War, Federal census schedules for Missouri from 1830-1920, County records on microfilm (roll by roll listing), Birth and Death records, Photographs, and Resources for Family & Community History:

St. Louis County Library

The St. Louis County Library has a genealogy and local history collection that contains library holdings of the St. Louis Genealogical Society and the National Genealogical Society in addition to the genealogical and local history materials of the St. Louis County Library.
